A mysterious piece in many respects, this 4 minute short reads like a series of 3d photographs with a wandering camera that pushes the viewer forward through time. Gorgeous photoreal CGI and sound design give us nothing more than a clue at a time as to what’s unfolding, or more accurately has unfolded. I really can’t unearth much about this film, how it was made, why, even the films writer and Director Claude Chabot seems to have vaporized since 2007.
But it makes for an incredible study about what storytelling really is, and how much – or how little – it takes to tell a complete tale.
