Bathtime in Clerkenwell

This 3:15 short film was created by Alex Bodovsky, a Russian born Director (photographer, poet & musician) who made this film – about the Great Revolution of the British Cuckoos, who bravely took over London – in Macromedia Director (typically a tool for business presentations) and swept up almost every nod or award one could for animation from Annecy to Sundance. It’s a fun story, Bodovsky heard the song by the Real Tuesday Weld at a friend’s house, loved it and created this piece just for the heck of it. He sent it to the musicians behind the song, specifically Stephen Coates, who loved the animation and the relationship began. Interestingly all of Bodovsky’s schooling and early films took place in his free time while he worked by day as an electrician on the NYC docks at the Manhattan Ship terminal.
