This was the first animated Spider-Man feature and the hype paid off huge with an Oscar win for best animated feature and $375 million worldwide gross against a $90 million budget. 140 animators were used to create the films unique CG+traditional hand drawn look. Every piece of this blockbuster stands out from the animation, characters, story, voice acting, humor, visuals, to the soundtrack, and helps it feel worthy of the legendary Spider-man creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko who both passed the year it was released, and to whom the film is dedicated.
