I love videos that leave you with feelings, impressions, and ideas, as opposed to always taking you down the linear path of a story. I have a lot of respect for the writers and directors (often the same person) of these pieces, taking such risks, and baring themselves so openly. This is a film created by Swiss animator Samuel Patthey who spent a semester abroad in Tel Aviv, and used 47 different vignettes from his sketchbook to illustrate his experience. His favorite part about Tel Aviv : ”
“The sun!
You can drink a beer alone at lunch and voila, end up the next day at lunch still drinking expensive beers with a bunch of smiling people. Most of the inhabitants and especially the younger generation live in the present and don’t over think tomorrow. I love that mentality.”
I certainly do as well.
