There is so much good work coming from the National Film Board of Canada, i admire it so. This is one of my favorite shorts ever. I love everything about it, its two quirky Alberta-loving Directors, I love the look of it achieved by filming the main characters and actions, extrapolating thermal print key frames, drawing and painting over them, and reassembling, i love the story about a pig in the city who witnesses the accidental death of a rooster, and discovers the links that create solidarity and connections in our urban lives, and i love the plodding, stubborn dedication it took to create 7000+ frames, and this beautiful , thoughtful, musical, 9:40 short film.
