Even though this company concentrates more in the VFX/CG world than animation, i have to give them a shout because their founders are so freakin’ awesome and they’ve made a big splash nationally coming from the tiny market of Nashville. Brothers Joel and Jesse Edwards founded Evolve in 2010 with an Imac, and now they’re producing content for the likes of Disney, HBO, Netflix and NBC to name a few and have 5 Emmy’s and 40+ nominations to boast for their efforts. These guys are absolutely tireless. They do their own passion projects for things that they believe in and feel they need to express, while balancing a massive bucket of paid projects, and remaining approachable and open to just about anything all at the same time. They use a phrase “vigor for the work” and i think that is ample, their work has impact and legitimacy and they’re a fascinating company to watch.
