Tee ken ng

I’m a fan of Tim Minchin who’s visual representations of his own spoken word and music always chart new territory and that is how i stumbled upon this amazing Australian Director, Tee Ken Ng. I’m also a HUGE fan of optical toys, such asĀ  zoetropes and praxinoscopes, and Tee Ken Ng has married i think something of a zoetrope and a phenakistiscope technique, onto a turntable, and used it to create not just repeating snippets of stories, but actual stories. The amount of labor and love that goes into his videos is mindblowing and you can see the joy of making, and embracing the journey, in his completed works. I don’t think you will see anything like Tee Ken Ng’s work anywhere else, it’s truly hypnotic.
